Union Deliberative Structures and Committees

The structures of the Concordia University Continuing Education Part-time Faculty Union, namely, the General Assembly, the Union Council and the Executive Committee, promote democratic participation and efficient decision-making.

The work of CUCEPTFU is carried out through: Union Committees, University Committees and Inter-Union Affiliations.

Union Committees

The Concordia University Continuing Education Part-time Faculty Union delegates responsibility for various activities to a number of standing committees: the Labour Relations Committee, the Personnel Committees, the Audit Committee, the Social Committee and the Departmental Advisory Committees. From time to time, ad hoc committees are struck to address matters of immediate concern.

University Committees

Under the auspices of the Collective Agreement, the Concordia University Continuing Education Part-time Faculty Union participates with representatives of the Concordia University administration in two standing University committees: the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Committee and the Central Advisory Health and Safety Committee (CAH&SC). In addition, CUCEPTFU representatives participate in ad hoc University committees that are struck from time to time. Taking part in these committees promotes the exchange of information and ideas as well as advancing the interests of CUCEPTFU's members.

Inter-Union Affiliations

CUCEPTFU participates in inter-union bodies which link us with other labour organizations. The Inter-Union Council groups together all the unions and associations at Concordia University. The FNEEQ Regroupement Université links the Concordia University Continuing Education Part-time Faculty Union with the other part-time faculty unions in Quebec which are part of FNEEQ-CSN.
